Everyone has special holiday traditions, however I find more important then buying or reciving gifts, candy, or cards is appreciating what you do have, the beauty of nature and all the things the earth provides you with. This is why, even though caring for the earth should be every day, I think its important when building family traditions to include earth day as a fun holiday in your house and community.

Collect household batteries, cellphones, motor oil, and tires to drop off at the recycling center

buy recycled and biodegradable products
